Warsaw, the capital of Poland, is a large modern city with extremely good logistics. It is located in the eastern part of Poland. The Vistula River actually divides the city in two. Warsaw was largely destroyed in the Second World War and there was nearly nothing left standing when the war ended in 1945. The old quarter of the town, which is probably its largest tourist attraction, lay completely in ruins. Its reconstruction was performed based upon old photographs, paintings and drawings that were found in the private homes that still remained. These many old beautiful buildings (which have been restored) are mixed in with many new buildings, lending an exciting appearance to Warsaw\'s cityscape. There are innumerable bars, cafés and different types of restaurants, nearly all nationalities are represented. It is quite inexpensive to eat at a restaurant, for example try eating typical Polish food - it is heartily recommended.
